The Mixology Bar Award "Bar Team of the Year 2009" is bestowed on the staff of a bar, who have been constantly working on a high culinary level. The nominated bar teams have convinced their guests and the jury of the Mixology Bar Awards with a high standard of service, creating a unique bar ambience.
The award "Bar Team of the Year" was introduced in 2008. The jury constisting of Gregor Scholl (Rum Trader, Berlin), Stefan Gabanyi (Schumann’s Bar, Munich), Marco Pani (Bar Italia, Vienna), Markus Blattner (Widder Bar, Zurich), Franz Brandl (cocktail book author) and Christian Lohse (Fischers Fritz, Regent Hotel Berlin) chose Berlin bar Becketts Kopf as winner. This classic bar has again been nominated in 2009. In the words of the jury, there has been no "sign of complacency" but a continous improvement. With Le Lion, Barflys and a number of other well-known nominees this category sees an even stronger line up this year.
