For the first time there’ll be an award for "Bar of the Year" at the Mixology Bar Awards. The Bar of the Year is a cocktail bar with an outstanding level of service and drinks. It’s a place that has become a real "brand", a true messenger for bar culture.
The list of nominees this year includes long-serving classics such as Barflys or Negroni bar, but there’s also much heralded newcomers like Le Lion from Hamburg. With three bars stemming from Vienna and Munich, while Berlin and Hamburg do also add up to three nominees, the Sourthern and Northern parts of GSA bar land are dominating the category this year.

Helmut Adam ist Herausgeber von Mixology, Magazin für Barkultur, trinkt gerne Negronis, Tequila und den einen oder anderen Gin & Tonic. Bevor er sich zum Bar Manager an der Mixology Bar aufschwang, arbeitete er als Bartender in Zürich, Wien, Berlin und London.
