Germany’s Influence on American Cocktails

In yesterday’s talk by Jared Brown and Anistatia Miller, we learned about some of the German bartenders who had a big influence on American cocktails.

 

They include: 

 

Frank Meier of the Hoffman House, who created the Corpse Reviver #2 and the Bees Knees.  

 
Hugo Enslin who created the Aviation
 
Henry Charles Ramos (actually born in US to German parents) who created the Ramos Gin Fizz
 
William "The Only William" Schmidt
 
Harry Johnson  who wrote many books and created the Trilby and Tuxedo among many other drinks. 
 
Please note that drinks were served during the seminar, so all facts should be checked.
