Swedish vodka brand Absolut will launch its latest special edition "Absolut Rock" in August. Rumours have it that the bottle will be wrapped in a second skin modeled after a leather jacket.
Next to the Absolut flavours the second skin approach was central to Absolut’s campaigns since 2005. And obviously quite successful. The limited edition Absolut Rainbow, that was launched last year to support gay and lesbian network Interpride, brought us numerous requests by consumers asking for retailers. No collectors’ community in the liquid world seems to be bigger than Absolut’s. The new global special edition Absolut Rock will be launched in Berlin on the 10th of August alongside the annual gathering of the International Bartenders’ Association. "In an Absolut World you’re with the Band" says the first announcement, we received yesterday.
