THE BAR MARKET TO END ALL BAR MARKETS

Ask, and ye shall receive. Though Bar Convent Berlin is a purely trade-orientated fair, barflies and consumers’— that’s you! — demands for an event that includes them have become louder and louder. We listened, we took action and today we’re very pleased to present THE MIXOLOGY MARKET at Station Berlin, on October 6^th 2014.
If you have any interest in all things spirit, cocktails, and craft beer related then Berlin is the place to be this October. We’ll be kicking off the peak of MIXOLOGY BAR WEEK with the MIXOLOGY BAR MARKET. The day before Bar Convent Berlin, Europe’s largest bar and beverage trade fair, first opens its doors, the Bar Market acts beckons you as a place to mingle, network, watch the live stream of the 8^th Mixology Bar Awards and enjoy some outstanding cocktails.
We like to think of the Mixology Bar Market as a mix between a street food market and a space which offers visitors the opportunity to enjoy the latest cocktail creations in an informal, relaxed atmosphere. We begin the night at 20.00 at Halle 5 of Station Berlin. Entrance is 5 Euro at the door or free if you’ve purchased your Bar Convent Berlin ticket online in advance. Cocktails won’t be breaking the bank at no more than 10 Euro per drink. In order to avoid, or at least temper, your hangover the following day, we’ll have several stalls by Markthalle Neun’s infamous Street Food Thursday serving up delicious food.
Approximately 20 bars will be showcasing an assortment of cocktails, allowing you to taste the best of what Berlin has to offer. Brands attending are of impeccable standard and include Gin Mare, Beluga Vodka, Big Peat Whisky, Belsazar Vermouth, Peruvian Pisco, Cointreau, Timorous Beasties Whisky and Kuehn Kunz Rosen craft beer.
In our attempt to invite only the crème de la crème, bartenders manning the bar include author and bar icon Jeffrey Morgenthaler who travelled all the way from Portland, Oregon, Belgian “Master of Flavor” Ben Belmans, and renowned Spanish bartender Joao Eusebio. Last but not least we’ll have some of the best Berlin bartenders behind the stick. The teams of Würgengel, The Curtain Club and Booze bar will support the market with guest shifts.
A night that promises to be a delight for both the taste buds and eyes we have high expectations for the Mixology Bar Market, ones which are sure to be fulfilled. Come join us in celebrating the beginning of Bar Week Berlin  and taste away the gloom of Berlin’s autumn.
